The gardens

Twenty themed garden rooms to discover in a 90-minute stroll, no seven-league boots required.

A garden of inspiration

Warmed by the Gulf Stream, Brittany can rightly call itself the garden region of France. Its many gardens open to the public grow native plants alongside subtropical and exotic species: symmetrical gardens, baroque gardens, Japanese gardens, organic gardens, historical gardens…

Les Jardins de Kerfouler is a garden of inspiration with a whole range of styles: modern, artistic, classic, natural, romantic, exuberant, restrained, playful. Along the way you meet special trees, forgotten vegetables, beautiful flowers, dancing grasses and amusing surprises in green.

Compact and creative

Compared with enormous castle grounds the size of 30 football pitches, our 10,000 m² garden may seem small. But thanks to the variety of moods and the creative layout, there is a great deal to see and experience. The fields around the gardens open onto a wide landscape.

An hour and a half is enough to explore every garden room. And if you would like to stay longer, on the terrace or on one of the many benches, you are more than welcome.

Garden rooms full of atmosphere

Garden lovers find inspiration in the exceptional plants and the fresh, flowering combinations of Bleu et citron, the romantic borders of La cour d'Hélène and the floral beauty of the evening gardens, Tout feu tout flamme and Le chemin des pieds nus.

Art lovers enjoy the exhibition in the green gallery. Nature watchers follow the birds diving into the Swallow Pond and the salamanders in the pools of the wild garden.

Holidaymakers get a taste of North Africa in the exotic atmosphere of the Moroccan patio, and of Thailand before the Buddha of Zen en Bretagne, where scents, colours and sounds matter as much as the plants.

Rather more down to earth is the colourful vegetable patch, Aunt Agatha's pride, as healthy as it is tasty: vegetables, herbs and fruit alternate with a riot of flowers.

The ideas kept coming: since 2022 there are three new gardens: Le jardin de rencontre, Saveurs de soleil and Oasis de verdure.

Through the garden room La Cour you return to the tea room and its terrace, set in a carefully restored 200-year-old farmhouse serving hot and cold drinks and cakes. The garden suits all ages and many tastes: everywhere, benches invite you to sit down.
